BARBOTAN WATERS

Barbotan thermal water is composed of sulfur, calcium, magnesium, silica and is characterized by the presence of dissolved carbon dioxide.

Its emergence temperature is 37°.

BARBOTAN MUDS AND VEGETO-MINERAL PEAT

Contrary to most thermal mud, Barbotan mud does not come from deposits or alluvium carried by water currents. Instead, it’s sulphurous, acidic, germicidal and analgesic vegeto-mineral peat extracted from vast peat bogs located in the heart of an ancient Landes forest, through which thermal water similar to that gushing from the Barbotan springs has been flowing for millennia.

Transported to the thermal baths, this natural vegeto-mineral peat is constantly irrigated by thermal water. The micro-organisms deeply reshape the peat, transforming it into a veritable living complex.

THERAPEUTIC INDICATIONS

Treatment of double disability (PHL + RH / RH + PHL)
Phlebology (PHL)
Rheumatology and sequelae of osteoarticular trauma (RH)

A rare occurrence in hydromineral therapy, Barbotan-les-Thermes can treat patients with venous disorders associated with rheumatological, osteoarticular and muscular disorders (particularly fractures of the lower limb, whether or not associated with venous complications).
