European Bandas and Peñas Festival

Condom, capital of Ténarèze, located in the northern Gers, organizes during the Festival de Bandas y Peñas, the largest gathering of brass and percussion instruments in southwest France.

The entertainment takes the form of “passe-rue” and podiums. The Festival presents the public with artists, live street performances and contemporary music concerts.

As well as the crowd-pleasing Grand Paquito, you can attend the Bandas competition. Each year the jury is responsible for awarding prizes to the best bands for their performance in musical and festive entertainment.

Féria del Toro "Pentecôtavic

Vic-Fezensac, the bullfighting capital of the Gers in Gascony, is one of the great bullfighting towns of southwest France.

This purely Vic festival, where street culture is passionately present, has been “handed down from generation to generation for over a century”.

The Féria del Toro, dedicated to the bullfighting tradition, welcomes “aficionados” from all over Europe to invade the 7,000-seat Joseph Fourniol bullring.

With 4 bullfights, and internationally renowned matadors, Vic-Fezensac acts as a veritable “plaza de toros”.

All weekend long: artists’ exhibitions, street music, brass bands, concerts, pedestrian bullfight, rugby tournament, Sevillian ball, Tourism event area with competitions to win tickets for festivals in the Gers, Wine tasting, burlesque parade…

Tempo Latino Festival

In Vic-Fezensac, in the heart of the Gers in Gascony, Tempo Latino is Europe’s biggest festival of Latin and Afro-Cuban music, salsa, Latin jazz and hip-hop.

It’s a benchmark for Latin music and music. Each year, for 4 days and 4 nights, Tempo Latino presents a varied program of concerts and workshops featuring international artists and teachers from Cuba, Puerto Rico, Colombia, Venezuela, Panama, Africa, the United States, Europe and Japan, among others…

In its “Occitanie” region, the Gers department is opening up to the international scene by supporting the Tempo Latino cultural adventure built on pride and risk-taking to produce all these artists from the Latin planet…
