Les Jardins De CoursianaIn Gascony, on one of the Gers paths to St Jacques de Compostelle, lie the 6 ha Jardins de Coursiana (Jardin Remarquable), facing the Collégiale de la Romieu, which is displayed here as a life-size panorama.
The arboretum was created in 1974 by Gilbert Cours-Darne, an eminent botanist who in 1995 was awarded the Olivier de Serres prize (the highest distinction of the Académie d’Agriculture).
In 1995, Véronique and Arnaud Delannoy became owners and renovated the complex (buildings, plum trees, creation of gardens…). The gardens of Coursiana were born, and at the gateway to the picturesque village of La Romieu, they form an ensemble of beautiful vegetation…
